Availability
Cover
is only available to private (non business) owners of chinese manufactured
MK1 (47cc half faired) or MK2 (49cc fully faired) minimotos (known
as cags), resident within the UK. This cover is only valid for minimotos
sold and kept within the UK and is valid for up to 1 year from purchase
of cover. You may cancel this cover at anytime. This cover is non-transferrable
and non-refundable. All cover starts 7 days after you have applied,
no claims shall be accepted with the first 7 days of cover.
Exclusions
This is an individual minimoto cover. If you own more than one minimoto
you must take out separate cover for each minimoto.
Claims
can be made for replacement of your minimoto only. There is NO cash
alternative.
Cover excludes damage (accidental or otherwise); third party claims;
property (other than your minimoto); injury; miss-use; accident;
road use; minimotos used for hire, profit or re-sold; minimotos
confiscated by the police or other authorities; minimotos lost during
transportation or by 3rd parties, such as delivery agents; claims
for bikes lost outside of the UK; claims made should your minimoto
be covered by a 3rd party insurer (such as a credit card company);
claims made where an owner has more than one MK1 or MK2 minimoto
but has paid for only a single cover - in this instance, the owner
shall be deemed under-covered and any claim shall be excluded and
void.
New
Minimoto Replacement
We will replace your minimoto with a new one of the same specification
(if one is available in the UK), excluding any additional upgrades
or parts added by you. We (UK Pocketbikes) reserve the right to
offer an alternative minimoto / pocketbike. There is NO cash alternative,
this is a replacement only cover.
We will only replace your minimoto once:
Your
minimoto is stolen and not recovered (after 28 days from the discovery
of the loss)
You, or your partner, are the first owner of the minimoto or are
buying it from new under a hire-purchase agreement (not a leasing,
contract-hire or other type of agreement)
The hire-purchase company agrees
You have reported the theft to the police as soon as the loss was
discovered.
You have supplied us with a crime number, date/time of the theft.
You have paid any and all outstanding installments of this cover
in full
Claims
All
claims shall be dealt with in the strictest of confidence. You should
call/email us in the event of a claim and we will send you a claim
form to be completed by you. We aim to get you a replacement minimoto
in as short a time as possible. The cost of transporting the replaced
minimoto to yourself will be borne by you, the claimant. Once a
claim has been settled, your cover will cease immediately, however
you may purchase cover for your new minimoto.
We
reserve the right to cancel or nullify your claim or modify the
terms of your cover at anytime whatsoever.
